Aristocrat Names Former L&W iGaming Chief Dylan Slaney as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive

Aristocrat has appointed Dylan Slaney—formerly CEO of iGaming at Light & Wonder (L&W)—as the new Chief Executive Officer of Aristocrat Interactive, effective 3 November pending regulatory pre-approvals. Slaney succeeds Moti Malul, who led NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat and the subsequent integration with Anaxi to form the Interactive division. Malul will depart in March 2026 following his notice period and contractual obligations.
Why this matters for iGaming and iLottery
Group CEO and Managing Director Trevor Croker highlighted Slaney’s “deep iGaming experience and track record of operational delivery,” noting that near-term priorities include scaling Aristocrat’s iLottery footprint and executing on a broader Interactive growth strategy. In July, Aristocrat Interactive announced a six-year iLottery agreement with the Michigan Lottery, the division’s eighth such deal in North America—building on strong growth previously cited in North Carolina, Virginia, and Alberta. In 2024, Interactive revenue rose 83.8%, from $182.6m to $335.7m.
Slaney’s background
Slaney brings more than a decade of leadership across real-money gaming and digital products:
- Light & Wonder (CEO, iGaming) — over three years, departing in November 2024
- NYX and SG Digital — senior roles spanning platform, content, and commercial delivery
- Dunnhumby — customer data science and personalization expertise that supports data-driven growth
With Slaney at the helm, Aristocrat Interactive is positioned to deepen its product roadmap across RMG content, platform, and iLottery services, while leveraging data and personalization to improve acquisition and retention across regulated markets.
Leadership update: Corporate affairs & marketing
Aristocrat also announced that Natalie Toohey will step down as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer after nearly seven years. She will support a transition as Barry French assumes an expanded remit as Chief Corporate Affairs & Marketing Officer, effective immediately. With 35+ years across telecommunications, transport, aerospace, defence, and technology—including a stint as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Inmarsat—French will oversee global brand stewardship and integrated marketing to “unlock more strategic benefits,” according to Croker.
Strategic outlook
- Interactive scale: Continue integrating NeoGames + Anaxi capabilities to accelerate product velocity and market reach
- iLottery leadership: Execute long-term state/provincial contracts, expand managed services, and deepen content localization
- Regulated market focus: Prioritize sustainable growth in North America and other regulated jurisdictions with strong channelization and predictable frameworks
- Brand & demand: Align global marketing and corporate affairs under French to support B2G and B2B growth ambitions
